Knuckle指关节
Aknuckleis the bony part in your finger where two bones meet and make a joint.
Each finger has three knuckles, but the thumb has only two.
The knuckle is easy to spot when you make a fist because it sticks out under the skin.
Knuckles let your fingers bend, straighten, and grip things like a pencil or a cup.
The skin over a knuckle is often thicker, since it bends and moves a lot every day.
If you bump your hand, the knuckle might become red or swollen for a short time.
